Last Weeks Shopping And My Birfday!

So last week was ma birfday! Horray! It was a pretty good day. I had to run to 3 different grocery stores for all the ingredients I needed for my dinner. Then my dessert was a complete disaster so by the end of the day I was pretty frazzled. Hence the fake smile in the picture lol.

Jake blew the candles out a little early lol

So after the kiddos went to bed, we ate THIS!

OH MY GOODNESS! Have you ever had shortribs? No? They are SO GOOD! Like SO good! You should make them. Today.

Ok so enough about my b-day. Here is a recap of last weeks shopping!
First, Walgreens
Before I tell you what I got, I have to share with you a little story. It starts with me trying to be kind to a cashier at Walgreens. I was buying some of Dave's Osteo Bi-flex on a B1G1 free sale and I had $7 coupons. It was a REALLY good deal! The cashier was AMAZED and couldn't believe the price I paid. Then she explained that her husband uses the same med. So I gave her some of my coupons and told her how the get the same deal. She was so surprised and grateful! So since then she always greets me and is more than helpful. Ok so anyways, last week I went into the store and this cashier stops me, give me $6 in RR and thanks me for always sharing my coupons! How cool is that? Just goes to show good things CAN happen to you when you are nice.

Ok I'm rambling on and on and on. The chips were on sale $1.33 and I had a $1.00 coupon making them just $0.33 a bag! AWESOME price!
The toothpaste was on clearance for $1.09each
So after coupons and the $6RR I paid a little over $2 bucks! Saved $29.98

Then CVS

I guess I was in the mood for chips lol
Trans #1
2 Colgate Max Fresh
= $5.98
- $5RR from survey
=$0.98 OFP
with $4RR back!
Trans #2
2 bags of chips and 1 queso
=$9.00
-$7 in RR and coupons
=$2.00 OFP!
Saved $14.67!

Then with Walmart having a NEW coupon policy and claiming to be more coupon friendly, I decided to go on over there for some shopping

Everything but the oatmeal and wipes were free. And since they allow overage on coupons now, I paid less than $1 for everything.
Saved $39 bucks!
Then, last week I got 20 boxes of capri suns!

They are normally $1.65 down here (good price already) then I ordered 20 $1 off coupons from Ebay. Then I also had a $10 gift card so I paid $3.43!!!
Saved $30.83!

Well that's all I got for now!

Shopping This Week

I am VERY happy with what I got this week!

First, Walgreens

My first trip I got 10 razors and 20 popcorn's for super cheap! The RR for the razors is rolling this week! So I would get 1 razor and 2 popcorn's to cover the overage, then pay $0.24 each! That is a pretty great price considering these razors go for $14 bucks a pop! Ouch! I used my last $4 RR to pay for the Tylenol Precise med which was on sale B1G1 50% off and I had a $6/2 coupon. So I paid $1.98 for both.
Spent a total of $ 4.38
Saved $129.28!!! Yay!

My 2nd trip I got 28 Deodorants for FREE!

They are on sale B1G1 free and there is a B1G1 free coupon and you CAN combine the two so you get it all for FREEEEEEE! I LOVE FREEEE!
Spent $0.00
Saved $107.72!

Then yesterday I ran to Target

This was a pretty big haul. I did a total of 5 transactions because the P&G coupons limit 4 like coupons per transaction.

The jeans were on clearance for $4.98 each and I had 4 of the $5 off any womens jeans coupon so I got my little sister 4 pairs of pants for FREE!
The olay facial wash was $0.99each after stacking coupons
The Olay body wash was free for buying the face wash!
The shaving cream was FREE
The Secret Deodorant was $0.50 each but this is the BEST DO so I bought a few.
ALL the cat food was FREE
The dog food was $1 per bag! That is such a great price I figured I'd get a few and donate them.
Then I got 3 shirts for myself on clearance!
Spent $
Saved $288.67!! Woo Hoo!

Then today we went to Kohls since I got 2 of those $10 coupons via Email!

We got Jakers 2 new pairs of Jammies for super cheap!
After sale price, stacking the $10 and 15% coupon we paid $1.84 for the first pair then $4.31 for the 2nd! And they even came with little dino toys! Not too bad!
Saved $49.45!

So this week I saved $575.12 using those little pieces of paper with bar codes! I bet I'm gonna beat last months record for savings!

Well that's all I got for now!

Amazon

Due to gas prices being between "ouch and boing" (name that movie), I have found myself doing a LOT more grocery shopping online. You can get the same (most of the time even better) prices as the stores without the gas and waiting in line with all the other nice people at the grocery store. That last part may not be accurate.

Anyways, Here is a picture of everything I have been able to get this past week

The olive oil was free (saved $16.71)
3 boxes lucky charms cereal was free (saved $7.32)
6 boxes life cereal was $5.02 (saved $8.31)
502 Pampers wipes were free (saved $13.99)
36 Poptarts $6.64 (saved $1.74)
6 Skippy Peanut Butter free (saved $12.54)
4 Dinosaur coloring books $10.48. A bit on the expensive side, but BOTH our printers are broken and I can't draw to save my life. Plus they have stickers inside! (saved $1.99)

So all in all I paid $22.14 and saved $62.60! Not too bad! Shipping is always FREE thanks to my Amazon Mom account. If you are a mommy, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a Amazon Mom account. Not only is it FREE for the first 3 month, but you get exclusive promo discounts and 30% off diapers!
Well that's all I got for now!

Steven

I thought since I'm always sharing Jake-isms, I'd change it up a bit and tell you some things about Mr. Steven that you may not know.

Steven is a VERY happy person!

He is so happy in fact, that when he is sitting at the table coloring he sings, Happy! Happppy!!! Happy, happy, happy!

Steven LOVES to use "tissors". It makes him feel like a big boy.

Steven will eat anything. And I do mean anything. From shoes polish to fake fruit.

After the 5th call the Poison Control I finally put them on speed dial. They are #5 on my phone. 911 is #6 and the Fire Department is #7. Because you just never know with boys.

Steven gets into trouble. A lot. He was caught red-handed in the fridge with Hershey syrup all over him and yet he still tried to argue his innocents....

This was the very first time he did something naughty. If only I knew what was to come......

Steven is Jake's twin. At least according to everyone that lives down here. I can totally see how they would think that. Minus the 3 year age difference and the 5 inches Jake has on Steven. But whatever.

Steven is best buddies with his bubba. He wubs his bubba. Even though they fight like cats and dogs. Deep down they adore one another.

Steven is weird.

There is never a dull moment with Steven around.

Steven LOVES cats. I didn't think it was possible to actually love something to death. Which Steven almost did. Poor kitty.

Steven does not enjoy 5 hour car rides then staying up waaayyy past his bed time. He likes a routine.

Steven is adorable. And I love him VERY much.

The End.

"Kess My Butt"

I was putting the kiddos down for bed when Steven stepped on one of their dinosaur toys and fell on his bum. He started to fuss and then said: Mommy, pwease kess my butt? Kess my butt.
So lets note two things.
1. No one has ever asked me to "Kess" their butt.
2. I didn't think that when someone finally said that to me they would do it in such an adorable way that would me me actually do it.

So needless to say I gave his bum a little kiss then put him to bed.

What a nut.

The End.
