Steven has been doing this new twirl kinda thing. I have been trying to record him doing it and finally was able to yesterday. He is such a silly little guy!

Shopping this week
It's been a pretty good week for shopping. It would be a great week, had I not done something I PROMISED myself I would never do again....I threw away coupons before they expired! You'd think I would know better by now. I was clipping my new coupons on the 27th and to make room for all of them, I threw away all my coupons expiring on the 30th! So far I have missed out on free shampoo and toothbrushes. No, I don't NEED either of those things, but free is free.
So anyways,
Here is a recap of what I have done so far this week
CVS on Monday

I went there for the free oral b toothbrushes this week. I went there first thing, hoping to grab a couple of them before they were all gone. But you know what? My CVS didn't have the toothbrushes! Neither did the other CVS in my city! Bummer! I had my entire trip planned around the ECB I was going to get back and I was going to get a ton of stuff at CVS this week.
So I just grabbed the Olay face wash, some toilet paper and a free dish soap
Trans #1
$6.50 total
Used $6.30 Ebates check I got last week
$0.20 OFP
with $5 ECB back
Trans #2
$5.26 total
-$5 ECB
= $0.26 OFP
Not too bad for 46 cents
Then I had to run to Walmart for a few things and I thought, hey, what if Walmart would price match the toothbrushes?! And you know what? They did! Cool!

So I got two Oral B vitality toothbrushes (normally $28.00ea at Walmart) for FREE!
Spent $0
Saved $56.00
Then I went back to CVS yesterday for an AWESOME deal on the new Iron Man 2 movie.

So I know this looks a little funny, but hear me out.
CVS has a deal this week where if you buy $25 in select P&G products, you will receive a $15.00 credit towards the Iron Man movie. Making it $5 bucks. So when you are doing this kind of deal you have to go for the cheapest item on the list and see of there are any coupons for it. Which in this case, was the tampons. They were $2.99ea and I had a $2.00 manu coupon so $0.99ea is a great deal
My total after coupons and $4/20 CVS coupon was $10.72
Used $10 P&G rebate I received last week
Spent $0.72 OFP!!
Saved $55.00!
So what do you think? Not too bad for a movie and 9 boxes of you know whats it's.
Jake was SUPER excited that we got the new Iron Man movie. In fact, he somehow talked me into letting him watch it this morning. See....

Doesn't he look so cute in his new jammies?
Well that's all for now!

Online shopping!!
I LOVE to online shop. Love. Love. Love. Love it.
How much do I love it you ask? Well let me share with you what happened to me this morning....
The UPS guy came to my door at 10 this morning (he doesn't come around until 4 or 5pm normally) and said: Hey Ms. Throwbridge (yes, we are called the Throwbridge's down here), I was delivering another pkg in your neighborhood and figured I probably had one for you too. So I checked in the truck and sure enough, I had one for you. So here you go. Have a good day!
Me: Oh, haha, ok, thanks!
See?
Anyways,
He was delivering my gymboree clothes! I LOVE gymboree. Their clothes are so darn cute!

I ordered 5 pairs of jammies since we lost 3 pairs in that load that was dyed pink.....

This cute jacket for Steven. He was crying because the guys were here mowing the lawn. Apparently it's very frightening.

I was $0.09 away from receiving $25 gymbucks with my order so I looked in the girls section for something cheap and I found this cute set of hairclips for little miss Sofie! So deb if you are reading this, I have some hairclips for ya!

Look at my cutie!

Now he was crying because he wanted me to hold him..

So I did. And he was happy again. See...

Ok so let's break this shopping trip down.
First I checked with Ebates to see if they were offering any cash back with Gymboree. Nope. Darn!
Then I had a 20% off coupons
and $5.00 in gymboree rewards
and they were having a half price sale on their jammies, so it was a perfect time to shop!
I spent $52.33
Saved $65 on the sale and clearance prices, $14.39 with my 20% discount and $5 with my rewards for a total of $84.39 saved!!
AND I received $25 gymbucks! So I get to order from them again soon LOL!

I have also been taking surveys online and searching with swagbucks to earn Amazon giftcards. So far I have been able to get a couple of great things!
See...
I got these suckers for $0.08!! Yep, that's right, 8 pennies!

Heres how,
They were on sale for $14.57 and I got a discount of $3.77 and free shipping for signing up with Amazon prime, then I had a $10 amazon giftcard from my Swagbucks, making my total $0.08! Awesome! My kids LOVE these lolipops!
Then I got these 36 count box of annies bunnies for $1.98!

These were priced at $16.98. I was still signed up for Amazon prime, so I got free shipping, then I had a $10 Amazon giftcard from a survey company and a $5 giftcard from Swagbucks, so my total was $1.98!
So you see? There are GREAT online deals to be had. You just have to work a little to get them.
Later this week I'm going to share with you the best dollar I EVER spent! I'm just waiting on one more pkg to be delivered!
Well that's all for now!

Finishing up the shopping
It was a pretty good week for shopping. My sister Tallie was here visiting and I have been having a lot of headaches (Steven and Jake induced) lately so I just took it easy this week. I didn't even buy one single paper this week if you can believe it!
Anyways,
While Tallie was here visiting I wanted to teach her about couponing. And I figured the best way to do that was to go shopping and show her what it's all about!
So we went to Kmart. Probably my least favorite store in the entire world! But, they had free razors this week, so you know I just had to go there. Even if I knew I would be leaving with a headache.

We found the razors and there was a peelie coupon on them for free shaving cream! Awesome!
The febreze candle thingy was on clearance for $5 and I still had a couple $4.00 coupons. So for a buck I thought they would make good white elephant gifts.
Spent $3.37
Saved $45.98!!
Talle thought that was pretty cool too!

Then when I was at Walmart on Thursday with Jakers I got all this for free. Poor Jakers, he thought we were just going to get a b-day gift for daddy. Little did he know that he would be forced to wait in the checkout line for 15 minutes while the cashier verified with a manager that she could use all the coupons I gave her. Why do they not believe me when I tell them it's ok to use them? Do they REALLY think I'm trying to scam them out of 20 post it notes? Please, if I was going to be a thief, I would not be stealing post it notes from Walmart. Just sayin'
Spent $0.00
Saved $23.28
Then today I ran to Target and Kohls.
I have been keeping my eye on the school books in the dollar section hoping to get a few of them on clearance. But they were completely gone! I don't think they even went on clearance. Oh well.

The cat food was on sale for $1.34 and I had a $1.00 coupon
I got one more bag of the tide stain release tablets before my coupon expired. That's the not so fun thing about the end of the month, trying to figure out which coupons are about to expire.
Spent $3.37
Saved $8.89
Then I went to Kohls because Jake's church pants were dyed pink a couple of weeks ago so we were in need of a new pair.

The pants were on sale for $14.99
I found the Melissa and Doug shoe toy on clearance for $5.19! This toy is normally $13 bucks. I have been wanting to get this for Jake and I'm SO excited I found it at such a great price!
And the little girl tights were on clearance for $0.80 so I got them for our buddy little miss Sofie.
I also had a 15% coupon so that helped
Spent $24.07
Saved $33.74!

And here is my baby who kept saying: zeeze! zeeze! (cheese) whlie I was taking my pictures. So I just had to snap a quick picture of his cute smile!

Happy Birthday David!!!
Today is David's birthday!! Happy Birthday sweetie!! Today he is......29 years old! (little three amigos action going on LOL).
He said he just wanted a little birthday. Nothing super big. So that's what I did.
See....

Here is the cake. LOL the frosting recipe didn't make enough to cover the whole cake! I was pretty ticked off about it for a bit, but now, it's funny. And I can't show you the other side of it because a certain little blue eyed boy snatched a handful of the cake while momma wasn't looking.....
Here is the birthday boy opening his gifts. Jake and I went to Walmart yesterday so he could get a gift for Dave. LOL it was very cute. He even picked out the pumpkin bag.

It was one of those gifts with an alterior motive...it was a party bag full of bubbles. So Jake's idea was that they both could play together..

Steven gave daddy some nuts and dried mangos.

There is no explanation, all I can tell you is that he has made me laugh every single day for the past 5 years. So, carry on my crazy husband!

And now for my gift. It was something that has been on Daves Christmas and Birthday list for a long time. I got him direct TV With some NFL pkg thingy. It was such a great deal, I decided if it was going to happen it might as well be while this awesome promo was happening. I have been prolonging the cable TV for two reasons. The 1st reason is Because I don't like extra bills. I don't like the thought of paying for TV when you can get the local channels for free. But I figured with our energy bill now cut in half (was only $100 this month! Oh yay!), we could splurge a little.
And the 2nd reason, we have a small TV. And you just know, when he starts watching all that football on the small TV, he is going to start thinking about buying himself a new one. So I bet we will have a new one by the end of the year. Which I guess is a good thing because our old TV is starting to have those white lines when you watch tv....ok, fine. It's time for a new TV. There I said it.

Jake got a little excited and blew out the candles for daddy...

Let's try that again...

There we go!

The cake was great despite there being no frosting on the sides.

And the boys had fun playing with Dave's new toy...

The End.

In the mailbox!
We had a late start this morning. So we were just getting back from our morning walk/pretend run when George our friendly mailman was delivering our mail. And there were a bunch of goodies in there this morning!
See....

Two coupons for FREE M&M's from playing the sweeps game.
P&G back to school rebate $10.00
Ebates check for $6.30 (you REALLY should sign up for Ebates if you do a lot of online shopping!)
And 20 post it note coupons from Ebay. I'm going to try and grab a few more. I KNOW I already have like 30 of these, but free is free.
Well that's all for now. Tallie just left for Utah this morning, David's birthday is tomorrow so I better get busy!!

Tallie!!!
My cute little sister Tallie has been here visiting us!! It's been a lot of fun having her....
Here is the only picture I took with my camera

Tallie has lots more pictures on her camera, but she doesn't have a cord so we can't download them right now.
I had so many fun plans! We were going to go to the beach, the outlet malls, Mcallen. But of course she came down here the ONE week it has been raining nonstop. So we have just been doing a little shopping, catching up, cooking and enjoying each others company. Can I just tell you how nice it's been having help with the boys?! I may not let her go home tomorrow.
So here is a recap of the two trips I've made this week
First, Walmart

Sweet Tallie watched out crazy kids while Dave and I went out grocery shopping. It was VERY nice. I can't remeber the last time Dave and I went grocery shopping alone. Or anywhere alone for that matter...
The Seventh Gen wipes were on clearance for $2.50 ea and I had a B1G1 free coupon
The Burts Bees chapstick was on clearance for $0.25ea! Awesome!
The Febreze kits were on rollback for $6.00! These normally are $12.97! AND I had a $4.00 coupon so they were $2.00ea!
Then I ran to CVS with Tallie for some free lipstick

Tallie needed a curling iron for her hair, so with that purchase I was able to use a $5/25 coupon and get the cereal for free. Then the lipsticks went like this:
$6.99ea
-$5 RR
-$2 manu coupon
= FREE
Awesome!
Well that's all for now! Tallie is leaving tomorrow (sad!) so I'm going to get back to spending time with her.

Finishing the shopping
On Friday I got my post it and milano cookie coupons I have been waiting for! So I ran to the Harlingen Walmart really quick that night to grab the post its before they ran out. Walmart already has all their school supplies on clearance so it's a great time to stock up for next year!!
So here are the results of my trip....

Backing up for just one minute, I also received my rebate money for the Shick razor I purchased at CVS a few weeks ago! So I had $8.97 to use towards this cookie purchase.
This week at CVS the milano cookies are a buck each. So I went ahead and purchased 20 $0.60 off any pepperidge cookie coupon from Ebay. Then I just had Walmart price match the CVS ad, making the cookies $0.40ea!!
The post it notes are $1.00 ea and there is a $1.00 manu coupon (bought it from Ebay again) so they were FREE! We won't need post it notes again for a LONG time.
My total was $4.00 exactly.
Used rebate money = $0.00 OFP
Saved $38.80!! Awesome! Dave LOVES these cookies
Oh, and I also found this craft kit for $3.00! I thought that this would be great for school time projects!

Then we went back to Walmart again today. And I had to bring the kiddos with me because Dave is out of town this weekend. So it's just me and the kids. Which if you know my kids, they HATE to shop. Hate it. So I was prepared for a fight. But do you know what? My kids were great! "My" kids. I was shocked. There were no tantrums. No fighting. No begging for toys. They even let me look at the clearance section for a while! I can honestly say that was the best shopping experience I have EVER had with my boys.
Ok, back to the shopping part

I grabbed 10 more milano cookies total $4.00 used the rest of the rebate money so $0.00 OFP and saved $18.80!
The note pads were on clearance for $0.25ea!
The kid scissors were on clearance for $.023ea!
The glade candles were $2.33ea and I had a $1.50 coupon
The Wonka chocolate bag was $2.97 and I had a $1.50 coupon
The organic carrots are $0.88ea and I had a $2/2 coupon so I got 3 bags for $0.74! Nice!
Then I thought to myself: "Self, since the kids are being so great, why not run on over to Hobby Lobby and grab some fall decorations like you've been wanting to do". So I did. And you know what? The kids were great again! By this time I was ready to leave the store crying. Not because my kids were being awful (which is usually the reason I leave the store crying), but because I didn't know what the heck was going on and it was starting to freak me out!
So then we ran over to Walgreens because there was some vanilla NyQuill (doesn't sound very good I know) that you could get for free this week....

They were out of the NyQuil, but I did find these Ducolax Balance priced at $6.99 and I had 2 $8.00 coupons making $1.00 profit! Which I used towards the Lysol no touch soap refill. So my OFP was $1.97 and I saved $17.64!
Sigh! All that shopping made me tired. And made this boy thirsty apparently! The little stinker climbed onto the table to reach my soda. I figured he had worked pretty hard to get up there, so I let him have a sip...

Shopping this week
It has been an AWESOME WEEK for shopping! And I hope it gets even more AWESOMER (?) when I get my milano cookie coupons!
Here is a recap of the week so far....
First was CVS

Trans #1
$1 oreos x 4
$0.74 Vlasic pickles
$5.99 Tylenol precise pain
$9.99 Alive Vits
After $4/20 store coupon and manu coupons I paid $10.17 (I paid for the vits only) and received $12.00 RR back!
Saved $19.76
Trans #2
$22.99 Osteo Bi Flex B1G1 free sale
- 2 $5 manu coupons
- $12RR
= $1 OFP!
Saved $44.98!!
Woo Hoo! I was super pumped to get Daves Bi Flex for $0.50ea!!
Until.....I went to HEB that is...

Guess what I found in the clearance section? A 2 pk of Bi Flex on clearance for $5.00!!! Are you kidding me?! And guess what I had? A $5.00 manu coupon making them completely FREE! I am happy that we have Daves medicine for the next 6 months, but I'm so sad about using my hard earned RR at CVS. Oh well, live and learn.
Oh, and the sweedish fish was an awesome deal. They were on clearance for $1 ea and I had a $4.00 off when you buy 6 coupon so I got them for $0.25 a pack! I didn't have coupons for the salsa, but it's Daves favorite, so I got a couple.
Spent $4.34
Saved $44.32!!
And since I forgot to do Coupon Tuesday yesterday, I thought I'd share a tip with yall...you ready? Go for guy cashiers. Wait, that sounds funny. What I mean is, when you are getting ready to get in a checkout lane, get in one with a guy cashier. They are so easy to work with when you have a lot of coupons. I don't know why, they just are. Girls sometimes can get sassy and they tend to think that because you are paying $0.25 for your shampoo you are doing something wrong. Guys, they just don't care. So there you have it. Go for guy cashiers LOL.
I still have to run to Target and Walmart later this week. I'm trying to wait for my cookie coupons to get here so I can scoop up that deal along with my other shopping.
