So here are the results of my trip....
Backing up for just one minute, I also received my rebate money for the Shick razor I purchased at CVS a few weeks ago! So I had $8.97 to use towards this cookie purchase.
This week at CVS the milano cookies are a buck each. So I went ahead and purchased 20 $0.60 off any pepperidge cookie coupon from Ebay. Then I just had Walmart price match the CVS ad, making the cookies $0.40ea!!
The post it notes are $1.00 ea and there is a $1.00 manu coupon (bought it from Ebay again) so they were FREE! We won't need post it notes again for a LONG time.
My total was $4.00 exactly.
Used rebate money = $0.00 OFP
Saved $38.80!! Awesome! Dave LOVES these cookies
Oh, and I also found this craft kit for $3.00! I thought that this would be great for school time projects!
Then we went back to Walmart again today. And I had to bring the kiddos with me because Dave is out of town this weekend. So it's just me and the kids. Which if you know my kids, they HATE to shop. Hate it. So I was prepared for a fight. But do you know what? My kids were great! "My" kids. I was shocked. There were no tantrums. No fighting. No begging for toys. They even let me look at the clearance section for a while! I can honestly say that was the best shopping experience I have EVER had with my boys.
Ok, back to the shopping part
I grabbed 10 more milano cookies total $4.00 used the rest of the rebate money so $0.00 OFP and saved $18.80!
The note pads were on clearance for $0.25ea!
The kid scissors were on clearance for $.023ea!
The glade candles were $2.33ea and I had a $1.50 coupon
The Wonka chocolate bag was $2.97 and I had a $1.50 coupon
The organic carrots are $0.88ea and I had a $2/2 coupon so I got 3 bags for $0.74! Nice!
Then I thought to myself: "Self, since the kids are being so great, why not run on over to Hobby Lobby and grab some fall decorations like you've been wanting to do". So I did. And you know what? The kids were great again! By this time I was ready to leave the store crying. Not because my kids were being awful (which is usually the reason I leave the store crying), but because I didn't know what the heck was going on and it was starting to freak me out!
So then we ran over to Walgreens because there was some vanilla NyQuill (doesn't sound very good I know) that you could get for free this week....
They were out of the NyQuil, but I did find these Ducolax Balance priced at $6.99 and I had 2 $8.00 coupons making $1.00 profit! Which I used towards the Lysol no touch soap refill. So my OFP was $1.97 and I saved $17.64!
Sigh! All that shopping made me tired. And made this boy thirsty apparently! The little stinker climbed onto the table to reach my soda. I figured he had worked pretty hard to get up there, so I let him have a sip...
HOLY MILANOS BATMAN! I love Milano cookies!
