Transformers 3

Did you know Transformers 3 is in theaters TODAY?!?? No? Well Jake does! For the past couple of days he has been on his BEST behavior. Like I'm talkin' no sass, getting himself dressed(as you can see in pic below), offering to do the dishes, and just being super kind and helpful.

Yesterday he got the windex and a paper towel and started to clean the windows!!! I couldn't believe it!

Just look at that smile!! He is probably thinking: just two more days. Two more days. Hang in there big guy. You can do it.

But seriously, Jake is a great kid and helps out a lot. Kinda reminds me of someone I used to know....

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna see if I can get Jake to wax the truck. Just kidding. Sort of.

Update

Well I'm afraid we don't have anything very exciting to report. We have just been hanging out, living life. Which is a good thing. I'm trying to appreciate the more quiet, relaxing times in our life.

Lets see though, what can I blog about??

Oh! I've been learning how to make bread!!! Which is a LOT harder than I thought. But I think I've finally got it down.

LOL this was the first time that humans actually consumed bread that "I" made! It usually gets thrown is the trash can where it makes a very loud THUD noise.

Lets see, what else?
Steven got the chicken pox. At least I think he did. He was pretty miserable and itchy, and he had red bumps all over. Jake had us rolling when he called them "popcorn chickens".

Here are the kiddos frosting cookies for our FHE dessert.

(Steven still has the pox in this pic, but there were mostly healed at this point. And he is covering his face so you can't really see anything)

We decided to conduct a little experiment and show the kiddos how you can make new colors out of primary colors. I swear, homeschooling Jakers has me in constant "Teacher Mode".

And here are some pictures of the kiddos playing bubbles!

***DISCLAIMER**** I would just like to say that I am fully aware almost every picture you see of my children they are wearing jammies. I don't know why this is, but I promise I do dress them. In real clothes. that is all.

Just Trying To Beat The Heat

So. It's only June. We are not even in the 100's. And already I'm melting. Not a good sign....

So in an effort to prevent mommy from melting, we have been doing a lot of indoor activities.

Like,

Making fruit loop necklaces. Or Neck-A-Less as Jake likes to call them.

Making new crayons out of all the old crayons Steven snapped in half. That little guy is the most destructive person I know.

Jake was in charge of sorting the colors, and Steven was in charge of the smashing.

Pretty cool, huh?

And we have also been doing school work. A lot of school work. I'm very proud of Jakers. He works REALLY hard and listens very well. I'd like to take credit for the fact that he is currently working on a 1st grade workbook (when he hasn't even started kindergarten), but I can't. He is just super smart.

Steven insists on sitting with us during school time. He usually just doodles in his Hulk coloring books and says "da Huck, da Huck mommy!" about 5000 times.

Jakers is currently working on a Dinosaur Mural. We will be adding dinos and I will take a pic when we are finished.

And speaking of school, I've been getting some GREAT deals on school supplies!

I got all 4 of these workbooks for FREE on Amazon. They were part of their 4 for 3 promo and I had a $5 gift card so I paid nada!

Then I Finally got my rebate money for recycling my ink cartridges at Office Depot (back in January they were offering $5 bucks for every ink cartridge you recycled).
They also gave me a $10 off $10 or more coupon which is free money. So we went there over the weekend and got all this....

10 copies, pencil holders, a scissor workbook, a water bottle for Dave, 3 over sized posters, a pen for Dave and dinosaur books spiral bound. All for $3 bucks!

Speaking of deals, here are some more great deals I got!

This is Target, Wags and CVS.

First, CVS

I've decided to work as hard as I can to get as much as I can, for as cheap as I can. Did you understand that? Me neither. I guess what I was trying to say is that I'm going into overdrive with food storage. So anyways, I got chocolate bars that were on sale B2G1 Free and I had B1G1 free so I only paid for every 3rd bar I got! The sugar was $2.99 and I LOVE the tubs. The shampoo was a good deal.
Paid $4.03
Saved $44.97!

Then Wags

Once again their Right Guard D.O. went on sale B1G1 free and I had B1G1 free coupons which made it all FREE for me!
Spent $0.00
Saved $89.80!

Then Target

The Suave hair spray's were free
The Sweet Potato fries were free
The sunscreen were on sale and for every 2 you bought you got a $5 gift card!
The Febreeze was on sale and I had coupons for free warmers.
Spent just under $20 bucks
Saved $46 bucks

And here are some great deals I got at HEB

20 bottles of bbq for FREE and 20 bottles of dressing for FREE! We are getting ready for summer!

And another thing I've been doing on my trips to HEB is asking the bakery department for their empty frosting buckets! They are perfect for food storage and FREE! And we all know how much I LOVE FREE!

That's all I got for now!
