First stop was Target. In the Target ad a few weeks ago there was a coupon for a $10.00 gift card to Target with any new or transferred prescription. And it turns out Dave needed a prescription for a cough he has. Sweet! (not that my husband has a cough mind you, just that I got some free money).
So with that gift card I paid $9 bucks out of pocket after coupons and saved $52.91
The pet food was $0.16 a bag which was a great deal. Now, I know what you are thinking. wait, they don't have a cat! Leah has gone mad with coupon power! No, we don't have a cat. And no, I haven't gone mad with coupon power. So stop thinking it. I'm actually starting a collection of dog and cat food to donate to the pound (more on that later).
Next was CVS. Can't say enough good things about that store.
I spent $1.20 because I went into the negative again and had to buy a pack of gum.
I saved $40.26
Again, I'm not loosing it. I know we have MORE THAN ENOUGH first aid kits and Sobes. But I decided I'm going to use my coupon powers for good. So I have started a collection of food and personal items to donate to the women's shelter here in my city. I know they could really use a helping hand and I think I'm just the gal to do it. So later this month I will be headed over there to make a donation and I will let you know all about it.
Well that's it for now! Hope yall have a great weekend!
