Shopping Trip

There are some GREAT deals to be had this week! I'm VERY excited! I unfortunately did not get a few of the coupons I need for these awesome deals, but I ordered them from Ebay so I should have them in a couple of days. I hope.

Anyways, I've just gone to Target and CVS so far. My big Walmart trip is tonight. Joy.

First off, I have to say that I added up Septembers receipts and I was NOT happy. I've gotten so caught up in snatching every single deal that I have lost sight of why I'm doing this in the first place. To SAVE money. Don't get me wrong, I saved a TON in September. But my spending was much higher than I would have liked it to be. So for that reason, I'm going back to the basics. I'm only getting what we need, what I can get for free or for a few pennies. No more getting every good deal just because it's a good deal.

Alright, first Target




Ok, so Target has a TON of items on clearance! From toys to clothes to books. We spent a long time there on Monday. Mostly because we were waiting on the truck to get an oil change. But it worked out nicely because I found a lot of great things!

The glade odor carpet stuff was FREE after coupons
The rug was on clearance for $9.98 and I had a $10 coupon so I got it for FREE
The socks were on clearance for less than 2 bucks and I had a $2 coupon so FREE
The wrapping paper and CUTE flower bags were on clearance so that is always when I stock up on that stuff.
The two little books were on clearance for $0.88ea! So I just put those in my Christmas Gift box.
The tide laundry pouch is free with the $1 tide coupon and they had only 1 left! I guess other people are starting to realize you can sometimes get the travel size stuff for free.
Spent $6.52
Saved $16.98!

Then I went to CVS



I set a $5 budget each week for myself at CVS and I have been going WAAAY over that. So this week, I wanted to challenge myself and see what I could get for SUPER CHEAP.

I did a total of 8 transactions

Trans #1
1 Shich Hydro Razor
The LED tealights (perfect to light pumpkins!)
Total $14.06
After coupons $1.04!!
AND I received a $5 ECB from the razor! so I made a profit of $3.96 on that transaction!

Trans #2
2 Puffs tissues
1 Revlon Nail Polish
After coupons and ECB from Trans #1 total was $0.00!

Trans #3,4,5,6,7
1 Revlon Nail Polish
After coupons and rolling each ECB from the previous trans each time my total was $0.00!

Trans #8
3 boxes of puffs tissues
Used $3 ECB from trans #7
= $0.00!

So total I spent $1.04 and saved $52.99! Works for me!

Well that's all I got for now. I am hoping to get free lip gloss and floss at Walmart so I will let ya know how that goes!
